Saturday Morning Coaching #2 – 8/10/2011

We met at Sea Wood for the second session.  This was to concentrate on control flow and decision making.  Courses were planned with multiple route choices, using the intricate path network.

Warm up was putting out controls. 

We then talked about the skills of control flow: plan early; look for the easiest way to find the next control; plan from the control circle back; plan to know where you are going – not where you are. Read more

UVHS Training 5/10/2011

The seniors were asked to shadow the Year 8/9s in Seawood.  This took all of the session for most of them.

Adam finished early and did a Pairs Map Memory session with Mike.  Each person taking turns to plan one leg whilst the other ran the previously planned leg using map memory. Read more

FRA Junior Do

I volunteered to do some coaching as part of the FRA Junior Do.  Along with Steve Pearson, we had a group of 8 U18/U16 girls and 1 U16 boy.  Many of the girls were England or GB internationals.

A small but select group met at the Bouth Big fields for work on simplification.
